OUR BEGINNINGS WERE HUMBLE
Growing up in a small town of 4000+ mostly country folks about 30 minutes outside of Zurich, Switzerland, life was good. We all knew our neighbors. We saw where our food was grown and we knew the farmers by first name. We picked our eggs directly from the farm and carried fresh milk home in stainless steel containers. My mom loves to cook and she made and still makes almost everything from scratch. Many moons ago, when I was still very little, I was once fed baby formula and ended up in the emergency room with severe food allergies. Needless to say, after that episode, my mom went back to smashing up sweet potatoes, beef liver and veggies, which I supposedly loved much more than pre-made baby food. So I guess that is where my love for natural, fresh, real healthy food started.
Stierli Health Consulting - the Home of DannyTheCoach - was created from that deep desire to teach others how to live a healthy & nutritious lifestyle. We realized we need to educate others. Unfortunately, we see countless souls every day struggling to find a way to keep their weight down. We would like to be there and teach as many people as possible how to make the right food choices. How to alter their lifestyle so that it not only fits their busy lives but also fits their waistline.
We want to help you put it all together!

bio
After almost 20 years in the corporate world, it was time to make a career change. I was there, at the big Internet bubble in 1998 and learned all kinds of interesting technologies. Building the first corporate intranet for a large medical device company from scratch was cool and seeing my hand-coded site morph into a full blown global intranet & extranet with well over 2000+ users was amazing. But I really wanted to follow my other passion.
I have always been into health, fitness and a balanced lifestyle. So I wanted to find a way to show others how to do the same. I believe in alternative medicine and that the body is powerful in healing itself when the right environment exists.
So, I took a chance and built Stierli Health Consulting, where "Danny The Coach" could teach others how to life a healthy & balanced life. I have seen many acupuncturists, massage therapists, chiropractors, homeopaths, and other natural healers and I have educated myself over the years so I can share all my knowledge. I would like to show you how to close the circle. I would like to help you put it all together. Working out at the gym is great and a huge part of an overall healthy lifestyle but there is more. Nutrition, mental state, social environment, toxicity and skeletal integrity should all be considered in a well-balanced lifestyle.
I completed the NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) & Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), C.H.E.K Institute Holistic Lifestyle Coach, Primal Pattern & Program Design Certs, AFPA Master Level Nutrition Consultant Certification, done a few StrongFirst trainer & instructor classed, and I am certified & trained in CPR/AED first aid. I finished all four certifications at AFPA including nutrition & wellness, weight management, sports nutrition and holistic nutrition. I am planning on working on a few more CHEK Institute programs and possibly the CHEK Exercise Coach program next. I have played many sports all my life - and still play some - and at one point, I was a semi-pro Volleyball player and actually part of the team that won the Swiss Indoor Volleyball Cup. That was great and I learned how far one can go by working out hard, having a plan and staying dedicated. I am also an expert skier and love the outdoors such as hiking, cross-country skiing, camping, tennis, frisbee, soccer ... you name it.

sports & activities
I played everything from Beach & Indoor Volleyball (semi-professional), I am an expert skier, played soccer, handball, uni-hockey, baseball and love to throw a Frisbee. I have practiced Yoga (Ashtanga or "power yoga"), run Track & Field, mountain biked and swam competitively. I love to workout outside, swing Kettlebells, steel maces and other objects, do cross-fit, hike, camp & be outdoors. Enjoying the sun & fresh air is key!
Eating pleasures
I believe that the best are home cooked, all organic meals shared with family and close friends. I love to slow roast a nice lamb shoulder with fresh garden rosemary and garlic, bake some sweet potatoes and pan fry a mixture of kale, bok choy with fresh mushrooms, onions and some more garlic. I am getting hungry!
Fresh, wholesome, organic & seasonal fruits would round up a perfect dinner.
Maybe with a cold seasonal fruit smoothie or a chilled San Pellegrino. Cheers!
